Glowing Beyond is a community-driven, women-led initiative created by a collective of women with diverse skills, backgrounds, and lived experiences, united by a shared purpose: to celebrate women over 40, amplify their stories, and advocate for midlife and mature women’s health.

What began as a passion project founded by photographer Denise Lin has grown into a powerful collaboration of creatives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers working together to create meaningful impact through storytelling, events, and philanthropy.
Glowing Beyond is brought to life by a dedicated team of women who contribute their unique talents across photography, creative direction, event planning, marketing, community building, and philanthropy. Each woman involved plays a vital role in shaping the experience, energy, and impact of the movement.

At the core of Glowing Beyond is a shared commitment to women’s health and wellbeing. Our team proudly partners with the BC Women’s Health Foundation to raise awareness and funds for research focused on midlife and mature women’s health.

Denise Lin,
Founder & Chair
Denise Lin is a portrait photographer and the founder of Glowing Beyond, a movement that celebrates women through storytelling, connection, and art. She is best known for her 40 Over 40 campaign, creating portraits that highlight confidence, beauty, and strength at every stage of life. Passionate about shifting the narrative around aging and visibility, Denise also advocates for women’s health research. When she’s not behind the camera or curating events, she enjoys exploring local cafés, practicing yoga, and hiking BC’s scenic trails. She finds inspiration in meaningful conversations, travel, and celebrating life’s everyday moments.
Nada Chan,
Vice Chair
Now in her third year on the committee, Nada is passionate about raising awareness of women’s health and wellness and empowering women to prioritize their wellbeing. With a risk and project management background, she brings strategic expertise and thoughtful leadership to her role as Vice Chair, helping expand the impact and reach of Glowing Beyond. Nada also embraces the healing power of music, finding joy and inspiration in K-pop as a reminder of resilience, community, and connection. She believes awareness and shared experiences are vital to helping women thrive and is proud to advance this mission through Glowing Beyond.
Amari Yu
Creative Director
Amari is a seasoned wedding stationer, helping clients add those details to their events. Amari and Denise have known each other since Denise's wedding photography days and Amari is honoured to be part of Glowing Beyond for the 4th year. Being a wedding vendor and helping clients with their wedding for so many years, Amari finally got to experience the other side - she said “I do” in November 2025. Amari loves travelling, photography and walks with her dog, Jarkko.
Jessie Kumagai
Operations & Logistics Director
Jessie Kumagai is an experienced event planner with a passion for creating unforgettable weddings. She is also a dedicated piano teacher and Director at the Jean Lyons School of Music, Vancouver’s longest established music school. In early 2025, Jessie joined the Glowing Beyond team, where she brings her enthusiasm for supporting women’s health and wellness. Outside of work, Jessie stays busy with her husband and two sons, and she enjoys going for nature walks, practicing pilates, trying new recipes, and discovering new restaurants, always finding joy in meaningful experiences, both at home and in her community.
Natasha Raey-Soo

Natasha is a consultant, entrepreneur, and influencer who thrives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and impact. Holding a Master’s degree in Health Administration and an Honours degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry, she has built and scaled ventures across multiple industries while leading high-profile projects and fundraising events that have raised millions for community causes. With a background in media and storytelling, Natasha brings a unique ability to connect with audiences and build brands that resonate. Known for her sharp insight and forward-thinking approach, she blends business acumen, creative vision, and a deep commitment to social impact, empowering people and organizations to reach their potential.
Lilian Sue
Public Relations Director
As a media authority amplifier, PR coach and multi award winning author, Lilian has worked with countless established authors and entrepreneurs to increase cash flow by leveraging their authentic stories to get on the right stages and be featured on the right media platforms. She joined the Glowing Beyond team in 2025 to raise awareness in the media for women's health and wellness, building on her experience working with local media. Outside of work, she enjoys rock concerts with her husband, video and board games, traveling to explore new cultures, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Jenny Boivin
Silent Auction Coordinator
This is Jenny’s first year on the Glowing Beyond committee. She participated in Denise’s very first 40 Over 40 Project as part of a celebration of her 50th birthday, entering her “Golden Era.” Jenny has since celebrated the qualities of inner beauty, strength and perseverance of women, while supporting women’s health research that is the Glowing Beyond initiative, year after year. Her position as an Inventory Control Clerk at a major Canadian grocery chain will come in handy as she serves as our Silent Auction Coordinator, assisting with the organization and arrangement of donated items and services to help make the event a success. Outside of Glowing Beyond, Jenny enjoys traveling with her family, discovering new restaurants and creating memories to last a lifetime.
